BassTech International supplies Sodium Silicate Alkaline and Neutral Powders. Our dry Sodium Silicates are water-soluble products of soda (Na2O) and silica (SiO2) manufactured from sodium silicate glass, which is produced in furnaces by melting high purity sand with soda ash.
We have 3 grades available, two in Alkaline (2.00 Molar Ratio) and one in Neutral (3.10 Molar Ratio), that are used for numerous industrial applications. Please contact one of our talented staff to discuss which grade is better for your process.
What is Sodium Silicate?
Sodium silicate is the common name for a compound sodium metasilicate, Na2SiO3, also known as water glass or liquid glass. It is available in aqueous solution and in solid form and is used in cements, passive fire protection, refractories, textile and lumber processing, and automobiles. BassTech supplies these products only in solid form.
